PhD Opportunity : Supersonic Flows & Condensation – Athena Project

The PEPR SPLEEN is recruiting a doctoral student for the ATHENA project which focuses on developing low-carbon cooling technologies.

The objectives of the thesis :

Investigate condensation phenomena in high-speed compressible flows and their interaction with shock waves, with applications to advanced refrigeration systems.

• Develop a dedicated supersonic experimental setup

• Use advanced optical diagnostics (Schlieren, etc.)

• Analyze complex two-phase flow phenomena

Profile:

Master’s degree in fluid mechanics, thermal engineering, or related field, with a strong interest in experimental research.
