Kick-off meeting for the winning projects of the 2024 AMI
The kick-off meeting for the winning projects of the 2024 Call for Expressions of Interest (AMI) was held on Wednesday 22 October, marking the official launch of five new projects.
This meeting provided an opportunity to present the PEPR SPLEEN, the selected projects, and the associated support and evaluation mechanisms.
In particular, the ANR shared essential information on contracting, project monitoring procedures, and evaluation criteria and methods.
The five projects were presented by their respective leaders, each exploring innovative solutions in their field:
- SPECULAR: multi-scale assessment : This project aims to conduct a multi-scale assessment of the feasibility and impacts of industry decarbonisation strategies based on energy efficiency.
- REVCO2: supercritical CO2 Brayton cycle : REVCO2 focuses on the development and optimisation of a reversible supercritical CO2 Brayton cycle for waste heat recovery.
- REHEAT: vapour compression heat pump : REHEAT offers efficient conversion of industrial waste heat into high-temperature heat with reactive working fluid heat pumps.
- NEWIRON: sustainable steel production : NEWIRON is exploring processes for sustainable steel production, integrating emission reduction technologies and circularity solutions into the metallurgical industry.
- ATHENA: cooling production from thermal energy : ATHENA is developing a cooling production system from thermal energy that incorporates an ejector into the ammonia-water absorption cycle.
