Call for projects

Two calls for projects are planned as part of the PEPR SPLEEN.

The current call for projects is open until 14 March 2024 and covers the four thematic areas of the SPLEEN PEPR, with the aim of carrying out upstream research to support the development of national or European technology chains with a strong potential to contribute to the decarbonisation of industry in the next 10/15 years.

This call for projects has been allocated a total of €12.8m. The minimum amount of funding requested must be €800k and the maximum amount must be in line with the indicative amounts allocated for each theme.

Projects will have a duration of between 48 and 54 months.

Projects must be submitted via the ANR’s submission portal before 14 March 2024. All the specific conditions relating to this call (submission form, eligibility criteria and eligibility of expenditure are detailed in the text of the call online on the ANR website).

This call for projects is designed to support consortia of public research teams made up of a minimum of 3 research structures. The expected projects must be led by a French research organisation or public research and higher education establishment.
These research projects, which should aim to reach TRL 4 level, should provide the knowledge that is essential for the development of technologies in order to encourage their emergence before they are transferred to the industrial sector.

As far as possible, projects will aim to reach TRL 4 (at the end of the project), i.e. present a validation of components and/or laboratory models.

A second call is planned for 2025.
